Sample

is one of my personal projects. I teamed up with sound designer Luis Fernandez to create this journey in and out of the macroverse.

My idea was to contrast a very urban and at times hard soundtrack with soft organic images.

Sample uses real microscope photography. I was lucky enough to get access to on of the Kings Colleges stereo microscopes for two days. While all the creatures are the product of my imagination their components are real parts of real plants. I used a combination of 3d and 2d software to bring my creatures to life.
