Jens Blank - Bio

Born in 1982 in Cologne -Germany I discovered a liking for the creative arts at an early age. By regularly enhancing my surroundings with wax crayons I attracted the attention of neighbors and parents alike. At the age of 21 I was caught by London’s gravitational force on the creative sector, and came over to study Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts. It didn't take me long to realize that I prefer my illustrations to move and consequentially picked animation as my elective. From that time onwards I focused my energy on converting illustration briefs into animation briefs, swapping sketchbook for lightbox and making my own films. I am now happily studying animation direction at the National Film and Television School.
